Health Policy Scholar

Natalie Bao Tram Le is a first-year PhD student in Health Policy at George Washington University and a Mercatus Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her work in public opinion is concerned with the political polarization and attitudes to health, using survey methods. Prior to GW, she conducted research under the supervision of Robert J. Blendon, the Richard L. Menschel Professor of Public Health and Professor of Health Policy and Political Analysis, Emeritus, at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her work in these areas was published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Before returning to academia, Natalie dedicated more than ten years of communications and policy research for the Independent Women and grassroots activism for Students For Liberty.

She holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Government at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Philosophy from the College of Charleston. Natalie is also an alumna of the Porter-Gaud School. Outside of academics, she is a competitive rower and represented Harvard and MIT graduate boat clubs at the Head of the Charles.
